KOPEIKIN

An upstart from Moscow, Russia.  He will be a big name to look out for in the future.  His style is somewhat reminiscent of early Throbbing Gristle's less structured outings, combined with eerie tinges of soundtrack mood music a la the "Eraserhead" soundtrack.  The music, perhaps, of the dreams of David Cronenberg.

RELEASES

Shadow Trap

The second release for FG, and an absolute masterpiece in the vein of filmic post-industrial music.  Drones, shifts, pulses, giving the music a black, dream-like texture.

23 Kopeiki

Originally recorded as live ambient DJ mix, consisting of the early material
from analogue tapes dating back to 1991, it was later transformed into a
bigger-sounding album and released on CD-rs in 1996, if I'm not
mistaken. Only 23 copies were printed. The album contains thousands of samples
and bits from all possible sources of audio. The whole thing might be as well
entitled "How to blow your mind and have a freak-out party."
